Tipiliuke was founded in 1909 by the grandfather of the present owners. It is part of Estancia Cerro de los Pinos, a property covering 20,000 hectares at the foot of the Andes, and one of the first organised ranches in North Patagonia.
Fishing
Fishing from Tipiliuke is for brown and rainbow trout on the Chimehuin and Quilquihue. The estancia stretches 14km along the Chimehuin and 7km on the Quilquihue, affording ample room to experience the magnificent scenery and excellent fly fishing for which Patagonia is known.
The best of the season extends from December until April, which are also ideal months to visit other parts of this magnificent country.
Food and Lodging
Tipiliuke is set at the heart of the estancia and consists of nine bedrooms with private bathrooms. There is a living and dining area complete with wi-fi connection.
In addition to the main lodge, there is a separate large stone house named Mayal that can be rented as a single unit. It has three bedrooms with private bathrooms, a two-bedroom apartment with one bathroom, lodging for staff and an 80 metre living room area. The extensive patio has an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by nine hectares of park that borders the Chimehuin.
The lodge is set in a magical wooded area with some 200 species of tree from all over the world that three generations of owners have acquired and planted.
