Both North and South Islands are recognised as being exceptional trout fishing venues and there is the added bonus of tremendous Kiwi hospitality and breathtaking scenery.
New Zealand is the place to sight fish for possibly the largest wild brown and rainbow trout that exist. Six or seven pounders are relatively normal and fish into double digits are wholly possible. Be aware that stealth and some delicate precision casting is required to catch them.
